Script parameters are a great new addition to FileMaker Pro 7. They have not only saved developers from having to write tons of repetitive code, but have also provided greatly simplified techniques that were previously very difficult to implement. That leads us to the next great leap in script parameters — dynamic script parameters that function across multiple records. You might be thinking to yourself that that's all fine and dandy, all it takes is to pass the next record's value as a script parameter from the parent script to a second subscript as it operates on the subsequent record in the loop. I'm well aware of that technique, but what I'm talking about is truly dynamic script parameters that operate on multiple records using a single script. Now that's a useful FileMaker Pro 7 challenge!
