The Omit function has been updated for FileMaker Pro 7. Previously, the fastest way to figure out how many records could be omitted from a found set was to type in a number larger than the found set. Then click the omit button. The FileMaker Pro error dialog box would then return an error with the maximum number of records that could be omitted. You can now provide the Omit function with a dynamic calculation for the maximum number of records that can be omitted from the found set. The calculation below will subtract the current position in the found set from the total number of records in the found set. Then add one to make sure the calculation also includes the current record.
