Validating that two or more concatenated fields produce a unique result used to be very difficult and confusing. The validation process required several additional fields, lookups, and a long Substitute function to remove potential Boolean results. Using FileMaker Pro 7 you can perform the same operation on two or more fields with one relationship and one field that can now validate itself without needing to strip out Boolean values. Thus, adding additional fields to the validation is as easy as adding new fields to the calculation.
