So you want to connect to an Oracle 9i database using FileMaker Pro 7 or 8 on Windows 2000 or XP? If you had already figured out how to get the FileMaker Oracle driver from Data Direct to connect to an Oracle 9i database without error code 126 when you make the test connection you either got lucky or are a world ahead of everyone else and don't need to read this article. If not, I do feel your pain and understand your frustration. FileMaker, Oracle, Data Direct, and Microsoft do not supply even remotely close documentation or technical support to make the ODBC connection work. This article will reveal all the undocumented drivers, files, and installation tips that you can't and won't be able to piece together from anywhere else.
