If you have upgraded from FileMaker 8.0 to 8.5 you probably want to know how to transfer the Data Viewer expressions. Unfortunately, FileMaker doesn't provide us with a handy export function, which also means that when FileMaker crashes on OS X you will very likely also lose all your Data Viewer expressions (it has happened to me many times). So even if you don't need to transfer the Data Viewer expressions I highly recommend that you backup your Data Viewer preferences. It's also a good way to share your Data Viewer expressions with other Mac users and computers.
