Previously, we published the technique for obtaining a list of values from the found set of records by using a custom function rather than a script. The intent of this function was to replace the Copy All Records technique to obtain a list of values. The next natural progression of this technique is to find a unique list of values from the found set of records. This is useful for pop-up menus as well as dynamic scripting of reports. The custom function cfUniqueList will be demonstrated in this article. To inspect the custom function you will need FileMaker Advanced.
