So you want to create a pie chart in FileMaker Pro. The only problem is that FileMaker Pro can't natively create pie charts. That means you have to turn to the web viewer to create a URL string that can be passed to a third-party application. That application can be a web site or a plugin that will in turn parse the information that you send to it and return a pie chart. That task seems easy enough because FileMaker is really good at creating dynamic strings of text from a found set of records and the web viewer is really good at displaying HTML. Charting is now within the grasp of beginner and intermediate FileMaker users for the very first time.
