Wouldn't it be great if you could dynamically color a list of records based on a category such as car type, product line, department, etc.? The conditional formatting feature in FileMaker Pro 9 let's you do just that without adding any calculation or container fields. The best part is that as a programmer you can allow the users to control which color is assigned to which value list item by allowing the users to edit the value list.
