Session Description

Syncing independent or stand-alone FileMaker systems is an essential part of a solution designed specifically for mobile users, whether they use FileMaker Go or FileMaker Pro or both. From simply importing records to incremental record-by-record updates based on business rules, sync is built on the interrelated components of record exchange and record processing. This session covers sync concepts (creating, deleting and editing records, considering ways to resolve the thorny question “Which edits win?”), available technology options for FileMaker syncing, and dynamic scripting techniques to support successful syncing.
