Chris Irvine (Threeprong.com LLC)
We’ll be looking at several different areas that contribute to successful management of a development team that supports a sizable in-house FileMaker solution. Topics will include the value of developing organizational standards for development, coding style, and deployment. We’ll also discuss ways to balance the need for support and bug fixes against enhancements and long term features and the application of a few scrum techniques to a small in-house team. We’ll touch on a few of the challenges in solutions that have been maintained and evolved to meet the demands of a business, such as code bloat, technical debt, and deprecation.
