When you sign up for the FileMaker Developer Subscription using a different email address than the one in your FileMaker Community profile, FileMaker creates a new Community account for you and your benefits are linked to that account.

When an FBA Admin adds you to your company profile using a different email address than the one in your FileMaker Community profile, FileMaker creates a new Community account for you and your FBA benefits and FBA space access are linked to that account.

If you want to link your software benefits and access to your active FileMaker Community account, please follow these steps. You will need access to the account your benefits are linked to.

If you don’t know the account name for the account linked to your software benefits, click “I forgot my username” from the login panel and enter the email address you used to sign up for FDS or that your company used for your FBA member access.

Log into the account the account linked to your software benefits.

Edit the profile for that account.

Do you want to change the email address on your active community account to match the one used for your FDS subscription?

If you do:

  • Change the email address (can be to something fake), just needs to be unique
  • Select "End Membership”
  • Click Finished
  • Log into the account you are keeping and change the email address

If you do not:

  • Select "End Membership”
  • Click Finished

For FDS, send email to developer_programs@filemaker.com from the email address you used for the FDS subscription to request that the benefits be switched to the account you are keeping active.

For FBA, send email to fba@filemaker.com from the email address used for your FBA membership to request that the benefits and access be switched to the account you are keeping active.

In either case, you must include the account name and email address linked to account you are keeping active. FileMaker may send email to that address to confirm that you want us to make this change. We will then update our systems to link your active Community account to your FDS subscription. This may take up to 2 business days.
