Create a function Get(Latency) which allows to switch connections on or off, depending on measured latency value. Ie: before running sync scripts, check connection latency versus max latency set within function.
The big use I have for this is with layout design. Certain things can be hidden if the latency is too high. Also if added to the calc functions, image containers can be calc'd to different sizes. Thumbnails can reduce in size for slower connections on the fly and increase in size as the connection is better. Or load a low res image and then refresh the object with a hi res image after the entire layout is loaded. Managed progressive loading.
So many reasons this is a good thing to have.
