I understand bugs are a part of software, especially those bugs that don't show up in all circumstances. The more people testing the more chances of bugs showing up and fixed before the public release.
Apple (the mother ship) has a much more open system to sign up for testing and most likely catches many bugs. This would not guarantee no bugs, but hopefully we would end up with a much better experience.
It would be great if any FDS subscriber could sign up as a tester.
FileMaker super secret policy seams to work against them. I assume FileMaker is concerned about a FileMaker competitor (whoever that is) getting a copy of a beta. But the competitors would not have much time to copy and steal the idea before the FileMaker public release.
