The current indexing indicator in Field Options is unhelpful. "None" and "All" Indexes are easy enough to understand, but Minimal doesn't mean anything when it could indicate that either the Word Index or the Value Index exist for a field.
If we're going to have three options in there, why not have None, Word Index and Value Index? Clicking None would delete and deactivate the other two as it does now; otherwise, it would be nice to have more control over and, more importantly, a visual indicator of which indexes exist for a field.
Now, having said all that, 99% of the time I'm unconcerned about the whole thing and let FileMaker Automatically Create Indexes as Needed.
