Under Layout Setup, there's an option to "Delineate fields on current record only". It's set to "ON" by default for new layouts. I'd rather have it set to "OFF", since 99% of the time when I draw a box around a field (or a line above or below it), I want it to show up on all records. Therefore I'm forced to track this option down and turn it off:
I can't imagine that this is at all an easy thing for FMP novices to figure out. They probably expect quite reasonably that, once they've formatted a field with boundaries, it'll show up that way. What would prompt them to look under Layout Setup for a way to turn those boundaries on and off? And even if they did, the word "delineate" doesn't exactly scream "format boundaries" to anyone.
