    Problem:

For select text fields that contain a Part Number or similar ID Number, the length of the text string is usually fixed. However, there are always exceptions to the rule. Conditional formatting allows the developer to change the Font Size or even the Font itself, if the length of the given string exceeds a specified number of characters. While possible, this process often involves a certain amount of trial and error to get the write combination of Font Size to string length.

    Solution:

Provide an option that allows the text to "Scale to fit" within the constraints of the text field on the layout if the conditional formatting statement is true. This would simplify setup and decrease the amount of development time when dealing with fields that fall into this category.

    Alternate Solution:

Instead of a Conditional Formatting option, this could be an option in the Inspector. It would be similar to the scaling options for container fields found on the 'Data' tab of the Inspector.
