    One topic I have never seen at a DEVCON is a session on legal aspects for software developers.

     

    A Lawyer who should be familiar with Software Contracts would give the session.

     

    Topics to be covered are issues related to the smaller business just starting out, in-house developers, government employed developers, and non-developer employees who may use equipment & software that belongs to their employer.

     

    The session could offer some free basic boilerplate contracts for developers and other basic legal advice.

     

    Software Maintenance Contracts (Tech Support)

    Software Solution Design Contracts

    Work for Hourly Contracts

    Non-Compete Agreements
