To manage accounts for my applications (e.g. delete old ones), it would be helpfull to get a list of all accounts for a file. For security reasons, maybe limited to
a) FullAccess scripts
b) list only accounts with a password.
I can see red arrows for this in a Security way. Using WD, I do not want this feature since there would be a possibility for robots to try to login to my solutions
How this should happen ?Noone can run a scriptstep direct via WD.If this would be possible, i could simply use the "Add Account" function and adding an account to your solutions.
And if someone got hands on your fmp12 files, it's not that difficult to find out the accountnames, even if i don't know a single one before.
But i need to so this in a script to clean up not used accounts at customers sites (no WD).
In your case would recommend to have a Users table where you store and handle your accounts rather then going directly into your Security.
You should have this conversation with Mr S Blackwell at DevCon
I would use it to populate a table on which field's I would define a value list so that I could put them as choices for a field dropdown.
