Question: I'm running 64 bit versions of OS X and Windows 7. If I compile runtime versions in a 64bit environment, will 32bit enviroments have any problem installing and using the runtimes?
Both FileMaker Pro and Runtime are 32bit executables, so for instance on Windows, they run under WOW32, if you look in taskmanager it will show (32 bit) next the the process. Filemaker Server is the only 64bit application.
Therefore, it would make no difference, you would be compiling a 32bit runtime.
The runtime simply works.
Thanks for the insight.
