I wish to have my layout setup to use buttons Only to save records and eliminate the save prompt when clicking blanks space on my layout. I followed the steps below that I found in the forum from a year ago.

(Old Post) In layout setup there's a check box "save record changes automatically". Clear it.

This is just the first step. Users can still commit (save) the record by clicking the laout background. To prevent this, put an empty, invisible web viewer behind all your fields and buttons and sized to cover the entire layout background. Now all you need to do is add a button to do a commit record to save the record. You can also add a cancel button that reverts the record.

Now this set-up works great in OSX but when I try the database on my iPad the Webviewer overrides the format and is covering my layout with a white field. How can I fix this so the web viewer stay behind.

Suggestions Please and Thanks,
