Create an ODBC Data Source

Hi Guys,

I'm fairly new to connecting databases to systems, in fact this is my first time.  So, I've read all of the documentation, blogs, watched YouTube videos and think I have a fairly good handle on what I'm supposed to do.  But I think I'm missing one very important piece and I'm hoping you can help me out.

I have ensured the FileMaker Server and the FileMaker DB are ODBC enabled; I have then created a User DSN and a System DSN for our Oracle DB (I wasn't sure which DSN should be created) through C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe and tested the connections and they were both successful.

Then I went into my FileMaker DB to add a new External Data Source, however when I try to "specify" the DSN I don't see any listed.  Am I doing something wrong?  The FileMaker DB is being hosted on the FileMaker Server, so do I need to do something on the Server to see the Data Sources?

Thanks for your help,

Rachael
