how can we have a timer on our project?
The best you can do is find one on the web and place it in a webviewer
FileMaker OnTimer Examples - Soliant Consulting
Did you do this work sir?
No i did not. If you want help with the method contact Soliant
Just made this myself. See attachment
Create new solution
Place webviewer on layout
Paste url in webviewer
Another nice and simple solution is the one we used:
CCTimer from Cleveland Solutions.
It is $25.00 well spend as it includes a running timer and a countdown timer.
It'll keep count even if you close your file or FileMaker.
Cool lucroels, but I want to make it by myself, any good idea to do this work?
I can get that, it's nice as a learning experience...
But in a production environment it's not really worth the trouble.
Actually this question ha been asked before here.
Or you could roll your own in FileMaker as suggested before (take a look here).
But basically it is not a simple copy & paste process and can get rather complex very quickly.
But I want to create something like that
What is keeping you?
I don't see a question here...
Like I said before, look at the filemakergurus video, download the example file and pick it apart.
I uploaded a simple example file for a very basic timer. Check it out.
So create something like that.
The knowledge of how to do so exists within this thread.
You just have to do is pick a method, do the work, and come back with relevant specific questions.
Is there an echo in this forum? because i think ive heard this several times.
1. Do the work based on the suggestions
2. Purchase another's work
read and analyze the suggestion that have been given here, and try it out : learn by doing, the web viewer suggestion is a great place to start imo.
