SQL query Export to Excel

I am trying to export a SQL query to an Excel worksheet.  My problem lies in the syntax necessary to create the rows and cells in Excel.  The result of the query is loaded into a global field.

So far, I have tried:

Export field contents to a csv file.  This will give me each record in the query, but all crammed into the first cell.  Adding double quotes around the data does nothing useful.

Export Record - Isolate record and export the global field as tab format using UTF8 encoding into a csv named file.  This gives me individual cells, but only one row.  The ¶ is replaced with boxes.  I tried substituting Char(13) and/ or Char(10) for the ¶, but nothing changes.

I realize, I could just navigate to the layout for this table and export from there, but I would really like to be able to do this from SQL.
