Sorry about this, but I couldn't find a way to attach this photo within my pm reply ThierryGuemboura
Images cannot be used inline (or attached) with Private Messages. In future, if you need to share, create a Document (rather than a Question or Discussion). Add the others as "co-authors" and save as draft (don't publish).
Thank you for sharing publicly, BTW! I'll have to find my earliest version for Mac (clues: no Claris on the name)
I wish someone had dropped FMP in my hands in the 90s rather than having to deal with Paradox. Still now it’s an odd name for a product.
Images in PMs sounds like a good add for the Community improvement thread.
You can share files (and images) in PMs if you upload to a cloud site and post the URL in your message.
Thanks everyone, was in a hurry and was enjoying a conversation with Thierry.
An ability to include an image or file within pm would be great, as the time to find a place to upload to and create a link wouldn’t have been worth the time. Also, when helping someone on a one-to-one basis often screen images can help.
Hadn’t thought about the draft and co author beverly - that’s a work around maybe. Wasn’t quite sure what the oldest disk I could lay my hands on would be, thought there would be a FileMaker II one kicking about somewhere, but didn’t save everything. Maybe try to get the old Mac Plus booted up at some point.
Must admit, still not a fan of Jive, but I guess there are worse out there.
Still miss Hypercard and must have a look at LiveCode at some point.
I think I've still got one of those!
British... sure it works in Ireland?
As you know, I'm married to a (Northern) Irish FileMaker developer. Must admit, I do wonder the same myself at times (and God help me if she reads this, thankfully not a regular contributor)
Missing my HyperCard! (I have floppy disks for that somewhere...)
Who needs a disk!? I got mine still working...
Now for Multiplan and Lotus Jazz?
Loved the interview on the AppleInsider podcast last week with Richard Moss and his descriptions of Hypercard. His book 'History of Mac Gaming' (https://unbound.com/books/macgaming/ ) may need to be on my bookshelf, despite never having time to do much gaming (except maybe a bit of Myst, which we never completed and we're back round to Hypercard again.).
