If I understand your question, you need to have the manufacturers in a separate table occurrence from which you would get the manufacturer names for the first field. Then the model descriptions should be in another table and related to the manufacturer table using the manufacturer name, or better yet the manufacturer's number in case you even change their name and thus lose the relationship link. You would then get the pop-up selections using only those models which are related to the manufacturer.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I have a table setup for Manufacturers which is linked to the Products Table. When you enter a product, apart from the order form you select a manufacturer and it stores this information (Products Table). However I think I am simply missing something in how I've setup my relationship between either Products or Manufacturers and the Lineitem Table because the order form isn't working.
The basic idea is that when you go to enter an order lineitem you first enter a manufacturer and then the next field, to the right would "auto-filter" to only display the related products for the selected manufacturer; these products would be displayed in a pop-up menu. Unfortunately no matter how I tie these tables tgether the second field always shows ALL products, irrespective of which manufacturer you select. Perhaps this is because I have the wrong field on the portal - I assume I have to use a "list" property for the field so that you get the option to use the pop-up menu.
Below is a link showing my relationships - I'm definately doing something wrong somewhere...

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, comments!
One possibility - in the setup for the pop-up menu, are you using the choice for using only related values?
I cannot see your table occurrence links.
Haven't seen anyone type "Conditional Value List" on this thread yet, but this is what you're talking about. There are a number of threads in the forum that cover this that may be helpful if you haven't already perused them. Also search for "Filtered value list" and you'll get some additional pertinent hits.
Additionally, there's step by step instructions and an example in the FMP knowledge base that may be useful:
