FileMaker 13 PDF incompatibility
I have a situation in FileMaker 13 v5.
We have a feature in our FileMaker solution that emails the PDF of an invoice produced from FileMaker.
This feature has worked the same since FileMaker 7.
In FileMaker 13, the output looks great in the following:
- Preview on the Mac
- Rendering of the PDF inside Mac Mail
- Google Chrome on the PC (Win7 up-to-date)
- FoxIt Reader on the PC (alternate free PDF viewer for Windows)
But it gets on error in Adobe Reader in Windows 7 (also up to date). . . An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.
We are stumped. We have been making changes to the layout to no avail.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks . . . Eric
Create a brand new layout with a single text object on it and save as PDF. See if it generates the same error. If it does, no amount of layout changes will make the error stop. If it doesn't, you haven't yet identified the part of your layout that is causing the issue.
