      Filemaker crashes during import records

      Post

I have been using Filemaker Pro 11 on MAC with no problems.  I then installed Filemaker on Windows 7 and started working on the same database.  It crashes when importing records from the MySql database.  The following is a report from the Windows event logs.

Faulting application name: FileMaker Pro.exe, version: 11.0.3.312, time stamp: 0x4d3f6749

Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16695, time stamp: 0x4cc7ab44

      Exception code: 0xc0150010

      Fault offset: 0x000817ff

      Faulting process id: 0x1334

      Faulting application start time: 0x01cbd767d0e926ab

      Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 11\FileMaker Pro.exe

      Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll

      Report Id: b901e58e-435b-11e0-bdef-b8ac6fad2f76

Has anybody experienced this before and perhaps have a fix for this problem?

      Thank you in advance.

Have you checked your file for possible corruption? Sometimes file corruption is tolerated by one platform and/or version of FileMaker and not on another. Even if file corruption is not the cause of this problem, the crash could have damaged your file after the fact.

Run a recover on the file and see what the recover process reports.

          1. Things to keep in mind about Recover:
          2. Recover does not detect all problems
          3. Recover doesn't always fix all problems correctly
          4. Best Practice is to never put a recovered copy back into regular use or development. Instead, replace the damaged file with an undamaged back up copy if this is at all possible. You may have to save a clone of the back up copy and import all data from your recovered copy to get a working copy with the most up to date information possible.
