      FileMaker Crashing

      Post

I'm using FileMaker 10 Pro Advanced on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.  For the past several months with increasing frequency, while I am looking at a script I'm editing FileMaker will completely freeze and crash if I use the scroll bar (the script is longer than the window size).  I'll copy and paste one of the event logs from Windows Event Viewer that shows information about the crash:

Faulting application name: FileMaker Pro Advanced.exe, version: 10.0.3.303, time stamp: 0x4a3ad6bc

Faulting module name: COMCTL32.dll, version: 6.10.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bd976

      Exception code: 0xc0000409

      Fault offset: 0x0002313e

      Faulting process id: 0x368

      Faulting application start time: 0x01cab09e59071c40

      Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced\FileMaker Pro Advanced.exe

      Faulting module path: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.7600.16385_none_421189da2b7fabfc\COMCTL32.dll

      Report Id: 661f514a-1cab-11df-a600-0024e835f977

The faulting module name seems to be consistent in each of the events.  I am editing databases that are located on our FileMaker server.  Is this a known issue and is there any kind of resolution to this issue?

      Thanks
