I dont use native email sending in Filemaker myself, in fact never have, but Im pretty sure it sends as plain text (may be wrong here)
I use dacons mail it plugin, using this you could create a html template as the body of the message, then dynamically insert content to the template ready for sending.
for instance a calculated template field could consist of
"<html><table width=600><tr><td>" & table1::section1 & "</td></tr><tr><td>" & table1::section2 & "</td></tr></table></html>"
When you then populate the two example fields, the content is inserted into the calc field and can be sent as the message body in html format. You can also insert inline images, its not something I have needed to do so cannot give you an example off the top of my head.
SW - Thanks. I'll have to take a look at the plug-in. It certainly sounds better than the plain-text emailing capability of FileMaker.
My staff aren't so tech savvy as to be able to create HTML newsletters, though. I wonder if there are ways to hook FileMaker content to Apple's Pages layouts?
This is not about filemker for managing newsletters.

davidanders - Thanks for these recommendations, but I really need something that can integrate with FileMaker. (In a pinch, I could go with something that integrates with MySQL).
I just had another thought, although this is $129 you may be able to get a deal for non profit.
Theres a demo on there also. Ive not used it but the products available from seedcode & the support are first class.
For those still looking for for a solution to send out newsletters to contacts in FileMaker.
