My recollection is that you must use the GCC compiler. Using the LLVM in GCC compatible mode is not sufficient.
FWIW, I've built with a base SDK of 10.5 w/o problems.
This probably of no use, however.

Actually i have followed Stackoverflow and fmplugin.wiki website to know how to recover XCode 3 base SDKs in Mac OSx 10.7 Lion and it resolve my problem getting errors. I have install XCode 3 and XCode 4.2 in my Mac Lion as described in these web sites. Then compile those Example plugin file without doing any modification to original and it is showing no errors to me and build succeessfully. I have also added some new functions to them and it is working fine.
