FileMaker Pro 6.0 on Windows Server 2008

      Post

We recently upgraded our server to Windows Server 2008, and loaded FileMaker Pro 6.0 onto that server.  Now, we have the ability to view all of our data in Filemaker, however, all fields are considered not modifiable and we do not have the option to add, duplicate, or delete a record (among other things).  I'm wondering if this is a password and security level issue or an issue with Server 2008 and how to fix it?

          Thank you for your post.

If you do not have full read/write privileges to the directory where the FileMaker Pro 6 database is hosted, then you will not have the ability to make changes to the file.  In essence, it would be read/only.  Just to make sure the file is not damaged, try moving the file to your local drive, open it, and see if you can make changes.  If so, then you will need to fix permissions on the server.
