Filemaker pro advanced 9
When I publish a document to the web I can't get the edit boxes to format correctly. When in edit mode, they create boxes within the boxes. Is there any way to keep it from doing this?
Are you running FileMaker Pro on Mac or Windows? What version of the operating system?
On the client end, what browser(s) is being used? Version of the browser?
Can you provide an example? Can you post a screen shot?
We're running mac x 10.5.8. We've tried using Firefox and Safari- I believe they are both the most current versions.
This is what the box looks like after you click on it. You can move the inner box, but when you come back to it, it looks like this again. I've enabled the scroll bar (there isn't anything in this box right now so you can't see it). It does this with all the boxes, but they don't all crop down like this. I'm guessing it has something to do with the scroll feature.
This box is a value list. There is actually two like this on the page. I can't get the box underneath to go away. It's not a big deal, but it's bugging me.
I would like to know how to make them not do this because I am working on another DB, and I'd like to not have goofy things like this happen.
Any help is appreciated..
When you access a Filemaker database through IWP in a web browser, you are not seeing the filemaker layouts, fields or other structures.
There are many design workarounds and hacks that work in Filemaker that will not function in IWP.
