FIlemaker Synch Guide - creating log records
I am working my way through the FM synch guide. There are ample example scripts and many of these include steps that 'set field' in the log table to record the progress of the synch process. I am not seeing any reference in the example scripts to creating new records in the log table only to setting the fields. Am I missing something or is it assumed this is going to be included by any aspiring developer keen enough to tackle synching?
I haven't looked at those specific script examples, but with the correct context (as determined by what layout is current) and the correctly set up relationship, it's possible for set field to create a new record in the related table if (via the specified Table Occurrence), there is no related record currently linked to your layout's current record.
