      Title

      Filter Value Lists

      Post

           I have a table "Clients"

with a Field "Age" with values of "child" or "adult"

I would like some layouts to be available for "child clients" and some to be available for "adult clients" and some to be available for "all clients"

           How can I do this?

           Thanks,

           Kim

OS?  Win or Mac      FMP version?

The child data would be viewed by children via FMP client or Web browser or FMGo?

Or are you the only user and you want to view data by age?

                 Oh of course -

                 Mac OS 10

                 FMP 12 Advanced

                 Web and FMGo

I am the only user right now

                 thanks, Kim

Scripts can use the value of the age  field and go to layout to go to different layouts based on the value of the field.

                   If [YourTable::age = "Child" ]
Go to Layout [ "ChildDetails" (YourTable) ]
                   Else
Go to Layout [ "AdultDetails" (YourTable) ]
                   End If

Thus, you can click one button to go to a "Details" layout, but value in Age of your current record will determine which layout appears.

But I'm making a lot of guesses about your database design that may not be correct.
