Filtering out duplicate entrees in fields

      Post

I'm trying to filter out duplicates of the same "customer" field after a find script and then display that in a layout so they may choose the  customer that equals the search.

Does that mean that after the find, you might see records like this:

               John Smith
               Fred Jones
               John Smith
               Henry Higgins

and you want to list it as:

               Fred Jones
               Henry Higgins
               John Smith

If, so, set up this layout as a list view layout and replace the body layout part with a sub summary layout part "when sorted by" your customer name (or customer ID) field. Put the customer fields you want to see in this list into the sub summary layout part.

After performing the find, sort the records by the "sorted by" field specified for the sub summary layout part or this layout part will not appear while in Browse mode.

Thats it. Completely forgot about changing the part to a summary.
