Find Last Ten Records Created
I have a solution that records meetings
I need to find the last ten meetings created. Is there a way to do this?
Any number equal to or larger than the number of records to omit will work. I typically use Get ( FoundCount ) as that value will always be 10 larger then the number of records that I need to omit.
Does each record have a date field? Is there a field with an auto entered serial number?
You can sort your records in descending order by date or serial number and then use omit multiple records to omit all but the first 10 records.
This can be done manually or in a script.
And a 10 row portal sorted in such a descending order might also list just the 10 most recently created records.
There is a date field and an auto entered serial number.
I would like to perform this find with a script, not view in portal.
I get the "sort records in defending order" but how do I then omit all but the last ten records created using a script?
It's not a find as you can't tell what values to specify as find criteria.
Show All records
Sort them by serial number in descending order
Go to the 11th record and use Omit Multiple records to omit all but the first 10 records
Set up a relationship that matches to all records by using the X operator instead of =.
Use that relationship to put up a 10 row sorted portal to this table on your layout.
I am still stumped on the omit multiple record.
Thank you !!! That did the trick!
