I am building a software for a Gym membership and need to integrate some kind of fingerprint access control.

Can anyone help me what I have to do?

          Hi Alphonse,

I came across your post while searching for finger print access control. I was wondering if you have had any luck integrating FM and finger print readers? I am also developing a gym access control system for my client, and what is turing out to be tricky for me is that my client is in a Mac only environment and does not want to use any Windows products.

Everything I have been able to find so far is that for FM to talk to a finger print device it has to be between the device and either a Windows or Linux box which doesnt help me.

If you were able to get this working, can you let me know how you got it working.

          Regards

The Biometric Fingerprint Reader plug-in from PCI allows for fast identification and secure verification capabilities that enable your FileMaker® Pro scripts to recognize individual users without requiring passwords or card swipes.  Best regards, Gary A

              Hi Gary,

Thank-you for the reply. I already looked at the productive computing solution and it wasn't what I was looking for at the time, as I was looking for a Mac only environment. As you can guess I was not successful due to there being no finger print hardware that works on Mac. I have since gone with a local company that specialises in biometrics here.

It is annoying that there is no finger print hardware that reads on Mac but I guess I will just have to wait a bit longer.
