Flush Cached Join Results

In the pic I posted I have a portal (the layout shown under the relationship window) with three drop down lists (BrandToAdd, CategoryToAdd and AssetToAdd). The first list narrows by brand, the second narrows by category and the last is a diminishing list. Once an asset is added to the portal it disappears from the AssetToAdd drop down list. My issue, once an asset is added to the portal and I delete it, it sometimes does not reappear in the "AssetToAdd" drop down list. I have a script applied to the delete button that deletes the portal row AND flush cache join results. The pic shows how the relationships are set up. What am I missing?
