Check out Set Field by Name.
Take a look at
Set Field By Name [ <calculated target field> ; <calculated value>]
and also perhaps
GetLayoutObjectAttribute ( "objectname" ; "source" ) // passing an object name of a field will return the fields name
i.e Field for table::field with an object name of test
GetLayoutObjectAttribute ( "test" ; "source" ) would return table::field
I was just updating my post.
I found that it was very easy:
set variable $var; get(scriptparameter)
set field fld2; getfield($var)
Thanks for all your help.
Hi SW, didn't see your post.
Great info! As a beginner, all these snippets put the pieces together.
