Have a look at the KnowledgeBase #7689
I would be interested to know exactly who "assured" you it would be fixed in v2. That is certainly not a policy of FileMaker Support to assure fixes.
The KB article certainly acknowledges FileMaker is aware of this issue.
I have no idea of the female's name this was some two or three weeks before v2 was released. She conferred with a colleague and stated that it would be fixed in 'the next release'.
Why is not FM's policy to assure fixes? This is no longer a cheap product especially the upgrades and I would expect known bugs to be fixed in the next release. Why wasn't it?
I suppose the policy is there because some things just don't make the cut for whatever reason.
It's fine for you to "want" known bugs to be fixed but given you don't know how hard they are to fix, how can you "expect" them to be fixed? Wouldn't you think FileMaker would fix the known bugs if they could? Surely they wouldn't leave them in just to annoy people?
Sorry but we just have to be reasonable about what can be fixed easily and in a timely manner and what cannot.
