Did you post a list of Excel functions earlier? I looked at that list and passed as I didn't recognize what they did. If you list the functions and what they do, we might be able to provide either an equivalent function or an expression that produces the same result.
You may also be able to set up an ODBC connection such that the Excel file functions as an external table that Filemaker can reference. Haven't tried that so I'm not fully sure that this is possible...
Yes, I listed some Excel functions earlier. Here are a few again, although I have pasted the link of how these formulas are used.
I will also try the ODBC connection to Excel.
Returns the correlation coefficient of the array1 and array2 cell ranges. Use the correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between two properties. For example, you can examine the relationship between a location's average temperature and the use of air conditioners.
Array1 is a cell range of values.
Array2 is a second cell range of values.
By looking at the expression image given on the page, this can be replicated in FileMaker, but implementation could be a major issue since FileMaker is not a spreadsheet with data organized in cells but rather a database with data organized in records. Array 1 and Array 2 could be two sets of related records from the same or different tables.
The other entries for TINV, TDIST, FDIST lack sufficient detail for me to be able to tell if they can be implemented in FileMaker. If you have FileMaker advanced, you might browse one of the sites where they list custom functions for FileMaker and see if someone has already created these.
I think it may be easier to push/pull data to excel then back into FMP.
I'm sorry, but which sites are you referring to for FMP ADV? I just purchase FMP ADV.
I've seen references to them off and on here in the forum but I don't have links to them at my fingertips. You can try web searching for FileMaker custom Function and see what comes up.
Thank you, I will try that.
I appreciate the help.
