Is this a hosted solution where the file is hosted from one computer and you are accessing it from another?
If so, go to the host machine, open the file and clear the field from the host machine.
If you are using server, a script performed on the server via "perform script on server" or a server schedule can clear the global field.
Changes made to the value of a global field on a client machine do not persist when the file is closed. Changes made to a global field on one client machine are not visible to other users.
It is in a Server environment. I will have to try a script step to clear it.
Hmmmm. Not having any luck. Nothing I do has any effect on the field. I can clear it or set it to something else temporarily, but it always comes back with the same three lines of numbers if I log out and log back into the Database. The perform script on server allows you to to perform some script on the server, but what should the script do?
what should the script do?
The script need only be a one line script:
Set Field [YourTable::yourGlobalField ; "" ]
The next time a client opens the database, the global field should now be empty.
UPDATE: This worked and took care of the problem. Thank you again.
