Grouping Chart Data

Post

     Hi all,

I'm creating a pie to show the cause of scrap against the quantity. So i have "Reason for rejection" & "Quantity" fields.

"Reason for rejection" is a drop down list with 19 choices:

     1 - CASTING FAULT
     2 - FEATURE OVERSIZE
     3 - FEATURE UNDERSIZE
     4 - TIP/DRILL/TOOL FAILURE
5 - RIM DAMAGE FROM HANDLING
6 - FACE DAMAGE FROM HANDLING
     7 - LEAK TEST FAILURE
     8 - GAUGE FAILURE
     9 - GROOVE POSITION
     10 - PROBLEMS HONING
     11 - BADGE / DRILL
     12 - MISLOAD
13 - RUST ON FLANGE FACE
     14 - DROPPED
     15 - WRONG PROGRAM LOADED
16 - DENTS IN COMPRESSOR POCKET
     17 - SET UP SCRAP
     18 - TOOLING EXPEREMENTS
     19 - OTHER

The problem i am having is that the pie chart shows each entry made into the database as a seperate slice.

I am wondering if there is a calculation formula i could use or something to group each entry's catagory together, so that i end up with 19 slices in the pie chart as opposed to the hundreds i am getting at the moment.

     Thanks.
