Scripts can use the data to perform finds for either value and a special match field can serve as an "Or" type match so that the records match if the style number or the barcode match. (Or you might just use the same value as both your bar code and your style number so that it's the same value either way...)
Define cKeyList as:
List ( BarcodeField ; StyleNumberField )
and do the same in the other table to get a relationship that matches by bar code or style number.
Table1::cKeyList = Table2::cKeyList
I'm new to filemaker but have some experience with layouts and database tables, etc. I don't perform scripts very often...Is what you described a script? And if so, where do I find the cKeyList? Where would this be defined?
Or is cKeyList a field name?
Thanks in advance for your help
Using a script was one suggestion. Using cKeyList in a relationship was a different suggestion in the same post.
cKeyList would be a calculation field that you define in your database. You can give it any name you prefer.
Finally got it to work! Thank you again for your help!!
