help on calculation field

Because we employ multiple databases in our office, I need to be able to store url addresses in two different formats in order to export the url in the correct format - i. e., http:// www. or simply www. I would like to create a calculation field that simply omits the http:// in order to save time copying the url from one field to another and then using the find and replace function to remove the http:// prefix. I understand how to use right and left calculations to choose for example the first six characters from the right or the last six characters starting from the left. I have been unable to figure out how to omit the http:// while leaving the rest of the url intact. Any help with this calculation would be great.
