A forum is best suited for answering specific questions. You've asked a general question that could start a long discussion covering many different topics so it should not be surprising that folks choose not to respond. I suggest that you outline your current thoughts on how you would implement what you want to do and invite comment on that "first cut".
I will observe that FileMaker makes only very limited use of SQL so "translating it to SQL" isn't likely to do you much good. "Translating the SQL into FileMaker equivalents" on the other hand is something that we can help you with.
Thank you for the recommendation PhilModJunk. How can I use FileMaker to my advantage as far as a creation of a website that aggregates data? Is it best to seek another platform?
Those aren't questions that I can honestly answer from what little that you have provided so far.
Filemaker can serve up data to the web using a number of methods. IWP--instant web publishing, is one option. CWP custom web publishing is another.
If you download the 30 day free trial copy of FileMaker 12, you can go to Help | Product Documentation | Instant Web Publishing to open a document on the subject in order to learn more.
