      Help with the Send Mail Function

      Post

           Hi There,

           I am finding this forum so useful. Im just a beginner and not too familiar with coding. On my database i have set up a button to send an email but i would like the message to contain information based on the fields in the current record.

           i.e

           "Dear <account name>

           you have been assigned the support ticket <_fkSupportID>, <Subject>.

           Details of the ticket

           <notes>

           please respond within 24 hours"

           I figured this must be something simple but i just don't know what the correct way is to insert the field information into standard for the email message.

           Hope you guys can hep

           Thanks

               Can you please write what you exactly want..???

               What I understood ...based on n that .......you want to send email ...

               So in subject field you have to write like this

               "Dear <account name>¶

               you have been assigned the support ticket <_fkSupportID>, <Subject>.¶

               Details of the ticket¶

               <notes>¶

               please respond within 24 hours"

                   Click the arrow to the right of the Message box and enter your message as a calculation:

                   "Dear " & YourTable::account name & ",¶¶" &

                   "You have been assigned the support ticket " & YourTable::_fkSupportID & ", " & YourTable::Subject & ".¶¶" &

                   "Details of the ticket¶¶" &

                   YourTable::notes & "¶¶" &

                   "Please respond within 24 hours"

                   Note, ¶ is the operator for a return character. I am using ¶¶ to double space specific parts of your message.
