Help! Problem with conversion from Filemaker 8 Adv. to Filemaker 10 Adv.

Post

I'm new to Filemaker 10 Advanced, though I've done some major work in Filemaker 8 Advanced. Here's my problem. I upgraded for obvious reasons...more bells and whistles and of course the new status tool bar. However the database that I designed and maintain does not work properly now. It will open up and looks acceptable, however, if i have multiple records in a table, or add more records for that matter, I can't page through the records. Filemaker finds the correct amount that it should according to the status bar, but the "book" is grayed out. If i add a button on the layout for say next record, it also does nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix for this issue?

I've tried rebuilding a skeleton of my database in Filemaker 10 and it does work properly then, but to complete it by this method would require countless hours. Apparently there is some difference between 8 and 10 causing the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
