When in edit mode in the inspector, under data/behaviour you can hide specific items, use the edit pencil, the calculation windows pops up, select the field you want to hide, in the calc dialog select table & field and criteria for that field so when the data is entered or checked? it then should be hidden.
I have just tested this on a portal of mine and it works ok
I'm just new to filemaker, so I could be wrong, hoping this helps
You can use 'portal filtering' or set up the relationshipin a way that a portal shows only the desired records
Those options work great for hiding the fields I need, thanks. How can I also do the opposite where I show all records with "Canceled" into a portal, not just Canceled within my selected record?
One normally does not use "hide object when" to hide entire portal rows. Instead, either a portal filter or a match field that is part of the relationship on which the portal is based is used to control which records appear in the portal.
