This might be answered faster on the FM Server Forum. You didn't state the version of FM / FM Server you are using.
What happens if you manually enter the filename instead of clicking on the hosted file? Can you connect immediately?
I'm sorry FileMaker Pro 12 and Filemaker Server 12. I will post this on t he server forum as well, but I also have this issue connecting to Shared FM DBs from FilMaker Pro 12. Thanks for the reply!

Yes that's what I mean. That might provide more clues as to what part of the process is at issue.
You might also try replacing the .PEM file with a copy from one of your other computers to see if that makes any difference. (This is a long shot but costs you nothing to try.)

This is a License check done by FMP. There is a network check after you close FMP for a few minutes that prevents use of FMP programs. This may be the problem.
